Andrew's "bus stop buddy" dresses just like this. It drives her mother a little crazy, but she goes with it. Lauren prefers to mix her holiday garb...Halloween pj's as leggings, with a snowman sweatshirt...you know. Festive.

Love it :)

Awesome!!! She's cute despite -- or perhaps more so BECAUSE OF -- these stylish get-ups. Thanks for using some of your precious (and I'm NOT being sarcastic) energy to capture these outfits for us to enjoy!

Two notes regarding little girls' mis-matched outfits:

1) I read on another blog this week that when the blog author was a kid, an African-American girl in her class referred to wearing mis-matched clothes as "color-blockin' ." Doesn't that sound cooler than "mis-matched?"

2) As I was walking out of the pediatrician's office with Audrey on Thursday, we passed a little 3-ish-year-old girl who was...well, she was color-blockin' just like Audrey was that day. I commented, "It looks like you and my daughter dressed from the same closet this morning!" Her dad made me laugh when he responded "Yeah. The MOTLEY closet." Just thought that might bring you a chuckle, too.
